The Studio by Miraval Rosé 2025 is a wine I found for $12.99, and yes, Brad Pitt is the principal owner of the winery, Château Miraval.
The Story
Brad Pitt owns 60% of Miraval, and Famille Perrin is involved with the production and distribution of the wine. Miraval is a Provence winery.
Studio by Miraval is an IGP Mediterranee, which encompasses Provence and part of the Côte du Rhone. In France, IGP wine is a step down in terms of vineyard and winery rules and regulations.
This Rosé is a blend of Cinsault, Grenache, Rolle, and Tibouren. Tibouren is a dark-skinned indigenous grape that has been grown in the region for 2000 years. Rolle is another name for Vermentino, a White grape.
The Cinsault and the Tibouren are produced in stainless steel vats. The Grenache and the Rolle are fermented and aged in tanks, which I believe are lined cement tanks.
As a 2025 vintage, the Studio by Miraval Rosé is a young wine not intended to be aged and should be consumed sooner rather than later.
This is a screwtop wine, and the alcohol content is 12.5%.
The Studio by Miraval Rosé 2025 Tasting Notes
The color is a pretty pink with a little amber. The nose is slightly candied and floral, and there are red berries, spices, along with melon and tropical fruit. The Studio by Miraval Rosé 2025 is crisp, light, and flavorful.
This Rosé tastes like strawberry, limes, peach, slightly sharp spice, melon, raspberry, and citrus. While the flavors are full, this seems to be a dry wine, with the sugar and the acidity balancing each other.
The Summary
- The Studio by Miraval Rosé 2025 is a fun sip.
- Nicely complex, balanced, and delicious.
- As winter fades, Rosé time will be upon us, and this wine is an excellent choice.
