Bonflor is a Trademark of Fetzer Vineyards, which is a sustainably farmed winery and also the parent company for Bonterra Organic Estates.
Bonterra is a certified organic, certified TRUEZero-waste, regenerative organic certified, and a B corporation certified. They have serious bona fides as conservators of their land. They are located in the Mendocino AVA north of Sonoma in Northern California.
The Bonflor California Organic Cabernet Sauvignon 2023 does not have production and tasting notes. It is a 2023 vintage that indicates this Cabernet Sauvignon has a decent bit of aging of some sort.
While Bonterra is a 100% organic vineyard, there is no indication that the Bonflor California Organic Cabernet Sauvignon 2023has any estate grapes. Though, since this is an organic wine, the vineyards used are limited.

The color is a raspberry jam red with black highlights. The nose is blackberry, dusty herbs, licorice, spice, strawberry, a hint of mocha, and a soft floral note. The Bonflor California Organic Cabernet Sauvignon 2023 is jammy but smooth with rich flavor.
This Cabernet Sauvignon tastes like a mix of black and blueberry, hard-edged spice, plum, and black pepper. Followed by pomegranate and bitter dark chocolate.
The tannins are well-controlled and the acidity is balanced, a nice job for a $7.99 Cabernet Sauvignon.
