The Australian government has given winemakers approval to start using a chemical also found in laxatives!
The same chemical that “helps you make” prevents crystallization and cloudiness in white and sparkling wines, and because there’s no labeling requirements for food additives in wine, we won’t even know it’s in there!
However, it doesn’t alter the taste or consistency, and poses no threat to human health. And did you know there’s about 50 approved additives already that help with various processes in winemaking? So – good to know, but don’t have a shit fit.
