The Aldi’s Landkastel Mosel Riesling 2024 is designated a Qualitatswein (Quality wine), which is Germany’s middle classification. The top classifications are divided by the sugar content. This wine is 100% from the Mosel region and is a typical example of its wine.
The Mosel is the river that runs through the valley. The vines are planted on the steep hillsides that run to the river. The soil is permeated with pieces of slate, which are held in great esteem. If a storm causes chunks of slate to slide down the hillside, they are rounded up and returned to their original locations as soon as possible.
