The Story
Delicato Family Vineyards just celebrated its 100th anniversary in the Lodi AVA, and they recently purchased Coppola Wines out of Sonoma.
The Sauvigio Sauvignon Blanc/Pinot Grigio 2025 has very solid parenting.
This White blend is 50% Sauvignon Blanc and 50% Pinot Grigio, sourced from vineyards in California. It is possible that some of the grapes from Lodi and Sonoma made it into the bottle, though there are no production notes.
Both of these grapes, when in the value-priced category, are typically fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks.
The alcohol content is a low 11%.
The Sauvigio Sauvignon Blanc/Pinot Grigio 2025 Tasting Notes
The color is a pale, almost clear, wheat yellow. The nose is muted; there are notes of apple, peach, spice, and melon. The Sauvigio Sauvignon Blanc/Pinot Grigio 2025 has a pleasant mouthfeel with smooth flavors and a little spice.
This White Blend tastes like ripe apple, Anjou pear, and a hint of tropical fruit, spice, and grapefruit
The acidity is soft and gives the blend some decent length.
