The color is a pale gold with a touch of silver. The nose is huge and bright, melon, tropical fruit, pear, peach, apple and flowers. The Prisma is a smooth, delicate, balanced wine with a pleasing mouth-feel. It tastes of stone fruit, ripe apple, pear and grapefruit. The mid-palate adds peaches in cream and mild spice. The acidity is well-balanced, pair it with food or sip it on its own. The finish is full and long.
The Prisma Sauvignon Blanc 2016 is a very tasty wine, it splits the difference between New Zealand Sauv Blanc and the Sauvignon Blanc from the west coast of the US. It should be available at around $12, which is a nice price for an estate wine, most Sauv Blanc’s in the price range are brand wines or sourced from a larger area. Chile is a great source for honest wines at a reasonable price.
