It does not exactly taste like a Sauvignon Blanc or a Pinot Grigio.
But it is tasty and easy to like.

Hey, welcome. It's Domain Day from Cheapwinefinder.com. Another wine review, like always. We have a very inexpensive wine today. It's from Trader Joe's. It was $6.99. And it's the um, I'm gonna mess this up because I'm gonna wanna say it's a blend of two different grapes. And they combine the name, and I'm gonna try to not say it wrong, but it's the Savaggio. Savage, I think, Savion Blanc, Pino Gorigio blend 2025. It's a 50-50 blend of both uh Savillon Blanc and Pino Gorigio, which is kind of an odd blend if you ask me. I don't recall seeing it before, though there's no reason why you can't put them together. I'm gonna take a sip. As it opens up, I'm getting more Sabian Blanc to it. When I first uh popped the screw cap, it didn't taste like either one. It was a little bit lighter, not not bad in any way. Uh the the nose is kind of muted. Usually I'm usually with a Sabin Blanc you can you can start getting the aroma like six inches away from the uh from the glass, but here no it's starting to get more ripe fruit, rounded ripe fruit, not as much um citrus. Here, I'm gonna take another sip. Yeah, I mean it tastes great, but it doesn't taste like either grape. And it does not taste like a vino grillio, and it does not taste like a Savillon Blac. Which I think is a good thing because that's why they put it together so they give you something new, but not so new that you're not sure what you're drinking. This wine is made by an entity of um Delicato family vineyard slash coppola wines. Um delicados uh just just celebrated their 100th anniversary, they're in Lodi, they do gnarly head, they do a bunch of uh really good, and most of the they are value-priced wines. Then Coppola um coppola sold the his winery to Delicado, and now they own that from Sonoma. So this wine has had a good parentage. I mean, both Delicado and uh Copola made good wines. So this is a $6.99 wine, it's 50-50 blend, like I said. And I I to find out who actually made the wine, I always go to the California Wine Cola Registry. Cola is an acronym for something, it has nothing to do with soft drinks. And if you put the name in there in the registry of the bot the bottle, and maybe take the uh there's a there's a time frame, and I put it back two or three years, just so if it if this wine was actually approved by them three or four years ago, you still get it. And um, it came out as both um Delicata family vineyards because it was in there three times and from Loda. Okay, and I checked on the second one, it was copla out of Sonoma. So I don't know because they have two main places that they had to do it twice, or that the grapes came from one and the other. I don't know what that meant actually. Let me take another sip. But it's from them. Um, some entity they they're making wines for Trader Joe's, um, which is a good $6.99 wine. Trader Joe's can uh buys buys the wine up front. When when wine's from that retail shop, you go to that wine shop, the wineries get payouts you know every so many months on how the wines sell. But when Trader Joe's gets somebody to make a wine, Trader Joe's pays up front. So you got a good deal. I mean, because they're paying up front, and it's and if it doesn't sell, that's on Trader Joe's, it's not on the winery. So what we have here, and I'm not gonna go too much because it it's it is a $7, kind of fun, kind of interesting, kind of tasty. White wine from a good producer that is a little bit different, it doesn't taste like what you expect it to taste like. Let's take another sip, which I always think is good, especially for a summer sipper. You put a chill on this, seven bucks, it's gonna go down easy, it's 11% alcohol, which is really low. I mean, we're talking about uh um almost like in diet wine territory. Uh, prosecco is like 11%. And this is an actual white wine. This is not a diet wine by any stretch of the imagination. Not that you could stretch your imagination that way. And I'm looking at the back to see if there's anything I'm missing here. No, 50-50 blend from California. You know, but the company's from Lodi and Sonoma, and there's a chance maybe that some of the grapes are from there, but uh Del Cado also has vineyards in the Central Coast, and they might have bought um grapes too. There's a lot of grapes for sale right now because wine isn't selling, and there's uh and there's grapes available. So there you go. This is the Savaggio. I think that's what it is. Savillon Blanc Pino uh Pino Grigio 25 white wine blend. Yeah, it's a summer sipper, it's cheap, it's tasty, it's not what you expect. If you're not crazy about Pino Grigio and you're not crazy about Savillon Blanc, you might love this. Though if you like uh both grapes, this might be uh right in your wheelhouse. I'm gonna take a fourth sip. Yeah, summer sipper. Put a chill on it and kick back, offer glass to friends, have a good time. So adios, keep it cheap.
