Mark West Pinot Noir 2018 – In Search Of Cheap Pinot

Mark West Pinot Noir 2018 – In Search Of Cheap Pinot

This is a podcast with a story that goes beyond a wine review.

Constellation Brands, a huge wine and spirits company, sold its value-priced wine portfolio to E and J Gallo, the largest wine company in America, for over a billion dollars.

Regulators held up the deal since the sail gave Gallo too much of the budget wine market.

But the deal is finally complete.

One by-product of the sale is that most wine distributors that handled the wine for Constellation are not the same ones that work with Gallo.

Many of the past vintages for the wines involved in the sale are now in cut-out bins at sell-out prices.

I found the normally $9 Mark West Pinot Noir for $3.99.

Don’t tell anyone, but there is absolutely no correlation between the cost of wine and the quality of wine.
