Hey, welcome. It's Domain Day from cheapwinefinder.com again. Like always, we're talking about value price wines. That's the wines everybody drinks. You read about, you know, in the publications, all the fancy, hard to find, expensive wines that have very small production and only and very few people actually know them and drink them. Some people drink them because they afford to, but the people actually know what they're drinking, yeah, not as often. That's with everything, but still, we talk about wine that people know and like and drink. And today we've got the uh$8.99. It used to be$7.99. It went up a buck. I don't know if it's uh tariffs or well, everything went up a buck. So anyway, it's the Kirkland signature. Kirkland Signature, I'll get that one right. Cote de Provence Rose 2025. It's a wine that they've been having for quite some time, and it's got a good track record. And it's uh from a wine uh family uh that has been in Provence since the 1200s. So this is a well-established winery in uh Cote de Provence, which is the largest AOC in Provence. It does 75% of all the wines. Um so this is from an established, very good producer from a very good area, and it's a rose, it's kind of like where roses were it's the homeland for roses. I'm gonna take a sip. So there's not much you can nitpick here, so I'm gonna take a sip. The color is Barbie doll pink that when the light hits it turns into amber. The nose is like a spring garden with a couple of nice fruit uh flavors or scents coming in, and it's this balanced, beautiful blend of fruit flavors. There's not that many flavors that just go, oh, that's this. You have to go in there and try to pick out the blend that they're that are all mixed together. It's a stew of really pretty flavors, and they're just as you sip it. What's it an eight, eight, nine dollar wine? I mean, this is this is put together so so very well. The the acidity is well controlled, it allows the flavors to just fully and fold, gives it a little bit of having a uh a nice finish. You know, I don't think pro uh Provence roses have a great finish. Most of the time, they're usually crisp and clean and kind of evaporate in your mouth. This one's got a little bit of a finish on it, which is nice. So, what's there not to like about this? Is it for$8.99 from um from Costco? Um let's see what is it? It is a uh Grenache Sensou um Gariana's it? Um Syrah and Vermentino. Vermentino is a white grape, but I think it has enough red in its skin that you can use it to get a little bit of that pink going. You don't need a lot of pink when you're using making a rose. They usually keep the grape skins in just long enough for to get their right color. And I don't think it's all that long for a pretty in pink. This wine is just so good. This is a quality wine at an outstanding price. Uh that's got really pretty bottles, this long tapered bottle. Um, I went to uh a Provence tasting, everybody had these different bottle shapes. It was like, why? And it was basically because when you see it in the cell, if you like it and you might buy it. They had all these, like, you know, kind of feminine shapes to them, which is, you know, um, and this one's a pretty shape, and it does show off the color, you know, except Costco has it in a box, so it's not showing anything off. But that's fine. Costco has like 15%. Is there a markup on wines? And most wine shops can have a hundred percent markup. I mean, it can be, I mean, if you go to a restaurant and order a wine, if you're paying twice the price or three times the price, especially if it's a sought-after one, it's you know, it's kind of expected. Here it's 15%. One thing Casco does that uh Aldi and Trader Joe's don't, because that's another one of the big um house brand wines where you're getting really good prices because of the house brands. Because Casco will tell you who made it, which is kind of fun. I mean, especially since it's also cheap. Usually cheap. You can get expensive Casco wines, but this one isn't. See, there there is no well, you know, sometimes with Trader Joe's and all these, well, I don't know, but it caught it doesn't cost much, so I'm going for it. I'll take a chance. But with a little bit of research and you know who made the wine, and you know a little bit where it came from, and you know what's in there, you're getting the price and the knowledge. There's nothing wrong with that. I kind of like that. I mean, uh, I don't think most people take the time to uh find out about the wine. It tastes good, that's good enough, and I think I'm a little weird in that regard, which I want to know a little bit, but I do get to talk about it, so I gotta know about it. So there you go. So this is the Kirkland Signature Coti Provence Rose 2025. It's from a producer with hundreds of years in the family of the Samir family. Um this is just a good wine. There's no reason not to pick it up if you want a rose for the summertime. Uh with all the holidays coming up and at and at uh$8.99, it's by multiples if you want to. Because if you're having part of people coming over and you have this on ice, it's not gonna last long. And it's only 12% on the uh alcohol, so it's not gonna be uh it's not gonna be a little too heavy, uh, so that later on you're gonna have a headache or whatever happens to you when you drink some wine. So adios keep it cheap. This is Domain Dave. This is the Kirkland Signature Coti Provence Rose 2025. It's good, I like it, and adios. I'll talk to you later.
