André Brunel Cuvée Bécassonne Cotes-Du-Rhone 2025
This is a White wine from a well respected Chateauneuf-du-Pape producer who produce fabulous Red wines.
They have been in the Chateauneuf-du-Pape region since the 1700s, they are legit!
This wine comes from a single Estate vineyard just outside of the Chateauneuf-du-Pape growing area, but that is OK since this is a White wine.
This is an affordable, delicious wine that is made for the French drinkers and not a wine made for export.
If you find it, buy a bottle, you can’t go wrong.

Hey, welcome Domain Day from cheapwinefander.com. Like we always open up these podcasts over and over and over again. Luckily, everything after this is original and changes. We've got a wine that's not a Aldi, not a Trader Joe's, not a Costco. This is a legitimate French wine. It's the Andre uh Brunel Pouvet. I might, I'm gonna mess this one up. Basque Sonet, uh Coach de Ron 2025. Uh the Brunel family has been in the um Chateau Neuf-du-Pop region uh since the 1700s. Chateau Neuf-du-Pop is the place where the poem, the not the poem, the Pope, uh moved his facilities, uh, I think, or I forget what year, 1100, something like that, when things got a little hot in Rome. So this was actually where the Vatican was. I don't think they called it the Vatican there. And the reason he moved here, because the vineyards were really, really good. Those sort, those folks like their booze. Uh so uh Andre Brunel is a player, and the Chateau Neuf de Pop was, and those are usually GSMs, Grenache, um uh Sarame Vedra, they're world famous wines, and this is a vineyard from the Brunei family just outside Chateau Neuf dup, but that's okay because this is a white wine, it's in the uh Coast du Rhone, and and this is a uh Roussan, uh Grenache Blanc Clarette, uh 40 um uh Rousselon and 30 of the other two, which is um an interesting blend. We you know that's not something you you occasionally see it from the Rhone Rangers in the central coast of California. There's there is a group of winemakers who who kind of um do wines in the tradition of the Rhone Valley, but this is a legit winery that these these people make high-end wines, mostly red wines, but this is at the uh the Cuvée Bas Cassone is in uh tribute to a little bird, the Bascogan bird lives in the tall grass in the vineyards in the fall. And the this this wine's a tribute to those birds that they kind of love to see come in every year. So we got this um nice little white wine. It is uh permitted in stainless steel. It's also aged in stainless steel for six months. It's just a nice wine, but it's gonna be a different drinking experience than if you're used to California wine. The flavor profile is unlike most California wines. Not that that is necessarily a bad thing, that is something I like. I like the flavors that are here. It's got me on my toes. I mean, I kind of get used to, you know, when I write reviews for a lot of California wines, I kinda write the same um tasting notes just in a different order a lot of times, because that's how it is. I mean, there's not that much difference. There can be, there is differences between wine, but the there's more things in common. And here, this is really nice experience. The nose, the arumas hit you from an arm's leg through late eyes, and then the flavors are they're a little bit harder, and then there are also these soft, smooth, interesting flavors too. It's got a nice combination of what's going on. There's melons and stone fruit and uh peaches and pears and uh nectarines and honey. Just took a sip. When I say it's not like California, I'm not saying that it's bad. The flavors are all delicious. This is a tasty wine. It just put together differently, it just hits you differently. It tells your your palate, your palate has to wake up and your brain asks, what the heck am I drinking? Not the worst thing, because you you can get yourself into ruts from time to time. And if you're kind of thinking about what was it, $12.99 I found it, Andre Brunel. This is a major producer in the uh Chateau Nantes uh Papa region. These are then this is not a made-for-American palette. This is not necessarily an export wine, it's just a good wine. You know, somebody came in and said, I like this wine, I'm gonna go to sell in the United States, rather than can you make me a wine for the United States? Just took another sip. It's that kind of wine. This is um this is legitimate. I mean, not that the American wines are not legitimate. I'm not I'm not trying to get into that contest. But say you got somebody you know who uh coming over and they they're they like wine, you want to turn them on to something. Well, they might not know this Andre Brunel Couve Bascone Coach Durant 2025. It might not be something that's on their radar, and you're doing it for 13 bucks, which is the whole thing. That's why we're cheap wine finders. We want to get wines that uh impress people, but not by their price tag or the the the the extent of their high price tag. We want, I mean, we just did a $699 wine that man, it was really good. And here's this like very intelligently made Couture's white. That the more I sip it, the more I like it. So there you go. This is a wine you're gonna you're gonna. I found this. I I usually don't ask for suggestions at the wine shop, and I just started talking to somebody there, and I ended up with a suggestion. I went, okay, I'll do this. So you might have to ask. It might be uh in the back, it might be somewhere, but if you find it, cheers. Oh yeah, and uh keep it cheap. Bye bye, adios.
