Hey Domain Dave here at cheapwinefinder.com. The Nothered Value Price Wine, a summer white wine, a really good tasting summer white wine. I'm not gonna I'm not gonna go over the things I normally do at first. We're gonna get into this one. Found this for $9.99 at Trader Joe's. It's uh it's it's from a brand Yennobles Lache Loir Valley Vouvre 2024. The Yennobles means vineyard in French, La Chateau, probably butchering the name, but um that is an actual chateau domain, uh Maison, a house in Laur Valley. Uh, but it now is part of the GCR group, who I think does a lot of commune wines where they get a lot of different vineyards with different grapes and bring them to different production sites. At 10 bucks a wine, that's fine. Now, um, Lor Valley doesn't always tell you what you're getting. Saint Cyr. Saint Cyr, a wonderful one, is Sauvignon Blanc. Touraine, Sauvignon Blanc again. Chenon, that's Cabernet Franc. Wonderful Cabernet Franc. So what is Vouvre? Vouvre is a town in the middle of Laure Valley. Um, but that's Chen Blanc. You wouldn't know it unless someone told you. Which is kind of one of the problems I have with French wine. It's not always that easy to figure out. Um, Bordeaux Blanc is um Savion Blanc. A little bit of Semillon, but Savion Blanc. I mean, a lot of people love Savion, uh Savion Blanc, but they have no clue what these different areas in France are. So it's a it's a bit of a difficult thing. Chaton Blanc is a great grape that isn't more popular. I don't know why. It's versatile. It'll it can make a dry wine. This isn't this one is off-dry, just a hint sweet. Actually, um the acidity in the grape kind of counteracts the sweetness. So, what you get is more rounded fruit flavors and citrus flavors. I'm gonna take a sip. So the sensation isn't sweet, and the sensation isn't acidity either. They bounce. Um that's a good tasting wine. It it actually has a mid-pallate that's really flavorful. It just keeps it on going. It's got really distinct flavors, like well, white peach, um, grapefruit, um, nectarine, um apple, but but but a juicy apple, not the green apple. I mean, um a little bit of um pineapple juice, a pineapple, yeah, juice, but not sweet. A lot of nice little flavors just smoothly rolling along. Really kind of interesting, and they keep going along too, which means the acidity, which is balancing the sugar, is also giving the wine length, which is nice. Ten buck wine with length, yeah, why not? Oh, I was talking about Shannon Blanc. Shannon Blanc could be like this, slightly sweetened, it could be even sweet, so it could be a sweet wine, it could be a spritz, it could be a full-on uh champagne style sparkling wine. It can be a dry wine. Um, it's uh Shannon Blanc's a great wine, but problem is a little bit, I don't know if it's a problem, it's also like the number one white grape from South Africa. But everywhere you every style and every producer and everywhere it's grown kind of changes it. So you might really like one here, and you should try, oh Shannon I'll try that, and go, that's not what I was looking for. It's not the same thing. I was looking, I wanted I wanted that wine, not this wine. So Shannon is got too many personalities uh to be a to be a hit. It it kind of um it's too good for its own its own good. Balanced, really nice mouthfeel. You know, when I first tasted, I mean I you know I took a I was writing about it, and then I took a sip and was like, oh, this is this is a good tasting wine. It it just hits you with goodness. I mean, it just the flavors just roll off. I um I mean I've done the um uh vignovles, La Chateau, the Chenon. I thought that was a good wine too. Did one of their Savion Blancs, I did one of their terrains. This commune, I mean I think the company is communes, they could have their own vineyards, but communes in some circles is not seen as good. Like a owner-operator vineyard, you know, where they grow their grapes. When you when you get wines from a hundred different growers and you make your wine, the eyes uh is the quality as good? And it can be if you keep on everything, but you don't know, and that's one of the things. Oh, it's a commune, it can't be as good. But for 10 bucks, I think we got something good here. And if it was a um maybe uh an actual winery uh bouverse, it's probably gonna cost twice the price. And I don't know if it could be any better. The more I sip it, the more I like it. It's just a really nice tasty wine. That sweetness is wonderful. So there you go, the Yennobles La Chateau, Lorvalle Vouvere 2024. $9.99 at Trader Joe's in the import section. I think it's great. I mean, give it a shot. It's $10. You can't really hurt it. Put it on ice, you're gonna have yourself a nice bottle wine. So adios, keep it cheap. This is Domain Dave. Adios.
