The Story
Pays D’Oc is a growing region inside the Languedoc-Roussillon growing region of southwest France. This region has had IGP status for 30 years, but has a winemaking tradition going back 2,500 years.

Trader Joe’s Fearless Flyer mentions that the Loudenotte Pays D’Oc Pinot Noir 2024 is 100% Pinot Noir and this is the 8th year they have offered this wine. This is the 2024 vintage and TJs has updated the information since 2022.
At $6.99, the back label mentions toasty notes and spice as some of the flavors, which can indicate some sort of oak treatment.

The color is dark raspberry jam with black highlights, maybe a little dark for a Pinot Noir. The nose is ripe blueberry, cranberry, a little spice, and a hint of herbs. The Loudenotte Pays D’Oc Pinot Noir 2024 is pleasant ripe fruit with a nice hit of spice.
This Pinot Noir tastes like ripe blueberry, raspberry, pomegranate, a slap of soft spice, maybe a little vanilla, and tart cranberry.
The tannins are smooth and the acidity is balanced, a very nice effort for $6.99.
