How Low Can You Go… Two Buck Chuck ($3.99) Vs Aldi Hwy 5 Chardonnay with a name like Cheap Wine Finder people expect us to write about cheap wine, but we don’t. We write about good affordable wine…. bargains. Value-priced wines have never been available with the quality and drinkability of modern wines.

How Low Can You Go... Two Buck Chuck ($3.99) Vs Aldi Hwy 5 Chardonnay

We have been ignoring the least expensive wines on the market. We figured a $6 or $7 wine has to be a better wine and only a few bucks more expensive, but is that reality?

Champion Nick and Domaine Dave have decided to do a versus series comparing actual cheap wines, which are wines we should not have been ignoring and which are wines to pass by.

The first edition pits Charles Shaw Chardonnay ($3.99) against Aldi Hwy 5 Chardonnay (4.99). We choose Chardonnay since the grapes are plentiful in California and they can be relatively simple to produce. Chardonnay can get expensive, but it does not have to be.

I went into the shoot-out expecting the more expensive Hwy 5 to be an easy winner, 2 Buck Chuck had more to offer than we realized. So grab a couple of bottles and taste along with Champion Nick and Domaine Dave and see who your winning wine is!
