The 19 Crimes The Wolfman Red Blend NV is an $9.99 Australian Red blend featuring the Wolfman, licensed from Universal City Studios. This is a limited-edition wine.
The Story

19 Crimes is one of the world’s best-selling wine brands; they produce millions of bottles. They used to be vintage-dated, but now they mostly produce non-vintage wines.
They do not name the grapes in the blend, but it looks like Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz (Syrah) are in the mix.
They get oak flavoring from oak chips and not oak barrels, which is not surprising considering the number of bottles they make. Oak barrels would be cost-prohibitive.
The Wolfman on the label is glow-in-the-dark, and the back label has links to some extras, like having the label come to life.
19 Crimes is owned by Treasury Wine Estates who have some very high-end wines in their portfolio.
The alcohol content is 13,5% and the grapes are from South Eastern Australia.
The 19 Crimes The Wolfman Red Blend NV Tasting Notes
The color is raspberry jam with black highlights. The nose is blackberry, chocolate, spice, herbs, and plum. The 19 Crimes The Wolfman Red Blend NV is an easy sipping wine with good fruit and spice.
This Red Blend tastes like blackberry, a slap of spice, rounded ripe plum, brown sugar (not sweet), cranberry, and blueberry.
The tannins do not pull, and the acidity allows the flavors to fully unfold.
The Summary
- The 19 Crimes The Wolfman Red Blend NV is a legitimate party wine; the label glows in the dark, the back label brings the front label to life, and it tastes pretty good, too.
- Not the greatest Red blend, but very drinkable and fun, too.
