Fior di Sole (translates to “flower of the sun”) is a family-owned and operated Napa winery with 35 years of experience. Its production capacity is equivalent to 54,000,000 bottles of wine. They produce many of their brands, plus Trader Joe’s Big Churn, High Guard, and Rain Cloud brands, among others.
There are no production or tasting notes for the Rock Station Napa Chardonnay 2022. The back label talks about the stone building in their vineyard that the brand name alludes to.
A check of the internet found that Chardonnay once sold at Trader Joe’s for between $12 and $15, so this seems to be a price drop. In checking the background for the Rock Station I found that the labeling was approved in 2023. This may be a wine unsold from last year, which is fine because the Chardonnay has an extra year of age.

The color is a clear, shiny, golden yellow. The nose is a melon, apple, peach, a little vanilla, sweet spice, guava, peach, a hint of petrol, pear, and coconut milk. The Rock Station Napa Chardonnay 2022 is medium-bodied with interesting fruit and citrus flavors.
This Chardonnay tastes like apple, melon, lime, spice, peach, faint tropical fruit, vanilla, light spice, slightly sour grapefruit, and Anjou pear.
The acidity is balanced and does its job without interfering with the flavor profile.
