The Birthday Cake Vineyards Cheesecake Wine is a flavored wine from France that tastes, well, like New York cheesecake. Birthday Cake Vineyards, along with Ice Cream Cellars is a joint project from the man behind Hpnotiq and the co-creator of Skinnygirl. The Birthday Cake flavors are Cake Batter and Strawberry Shortcake (along with Cheesecake) for White wine and Black Forest Cake for Red wine. The Ice Cream Cellars flavors are French Vanilla for White and Espresso and Raspberry Ripple for Red. The wine is sourced from vineyards in France and is simply labeled “grape wine”, but the grapes are sort of beside the point with the Birthday Cake Vineyards wine.
The color is a glistening and almost completely clear, pale yellow. The nose is subdued, but there is the distinct scent of vanilla. The taste is the disembodied flavor of New York cheesecake. The creamy texture and rich, decadent mouthfeel are missing, but the flavor is accurate and nuanced. The Birthday Cake Vineyards wines are a party trick, but they are a pretty fun party trick. I can see having friends over for a wine tasting. The first wine, do you get the tropical fruit flavors with the floral nose, the second wine, do you get the grapefruit and citrus with a strong slap of acidity and the third wine, did you get …..CHEESECAKE. I don’t know if this is a bottle you would want to pour on a Tuesday night and wine purists will turn up their noses. But I think there is a place for wines that are fun and I can think of a few situations where the Birthday Cake Vineyards and the Ice Cream Cellars would bring the fun.
How can I order this online? I live in AZ and it does not appear to be sold here. I bought this once in TX and I really love it but the Total Wine and Bevmo don’t carry it.
I want to buy this also
Did they ever reply to you?
