A nice example of an Oregon Pinot Noir, this baby from A To Z Wineworks is a bright brick color in your glass, cherry covered raspberry pie on a sniff and tart cherry on first sip.
The tartness mellows to a complex symphony of everything berries: strawberry, raspberry and blackberry – that really stick with you until they finish you off with a long draw of tobacco smoke, dense, balanced tannins
and a little pepper and mineral.
Perfect with turkey or pulled pork.
Also of note – of the 100 “Wine Spectator 2013 Top 100 Wines of the Year” – this is one of the 13 that are under $20/bottle!
